A few weeks ago GUESS launched there new perfume called GUESS 1981. The scent is an ode to the brands heritage. GUESS was founded in LA back in 1981, so as an iconic symbol for the lifestyle they had, GUESS made this perfume that represents the life in LA: pure, textured wood tones and airy, sensual musk.
Perfumer Stephen Nilsen van Givauden created this scent for all women, to feel empowered to life the life they want!
PACKAGING
The perfume packaging has a lovely pink color and looks very classic. The perfume itself looks girly and clean. I personally like that the perfume looks clean because it's straight to the point in my opinion. The white/silver details also give a nice accent.
ON TO THE SCENT
TOP NOTES: violets and woody ambrette
HEART NOTES: exciting jasmin leaves, pear and creamy sandalwood
BASE NOTES: earthy cedarwood, amber and musk
At first I smell a fresh floral scent, I love floral scents so this perfume really suits me.You can smell the lovely violets and jasmin leaves very well. After a little while it gets a bit warmer and you smell the base notes, which leaves a perfect summer scent.
I think that the GUESS 1981 perfume is perfect for the warm summer days ahead of us. But I also think that this scent can be worn arround fall and winter. Anyhow I know i´m going to wear this perfume a lot the following time!
